This is the field which involves medical examiners and coroners.  Before the popularity of television programs such as CSI and the Discovery Channel's "The New Detectives," most people associated this as the ONLY form of forensic science.  This field surrounds the actual victim's body and will involve answering questions regarding the cause and manner of death.  Forensic pathology will involve you in being around and actively processing dead bodies in various states of decomposition for the majority of your work time.  Those with weak stomachs need not apply.
